Al "Riba"

Al Salam Alaikum wa Rahmat Allah wa Barakatoh

"Al Riba" is a critical issue that is being spread out all over the world, on the other hand, many people commit this big sins without recognizing its danger or even without knowing that they are committing "Riba".

Here, I'm not going to explain the shortcomings of Riba or even its different types since these kinds of information are known by most of us, but I'll demonstrate one thing or one widely spread way most of us doing without knowing that this kind of deal is really a clear type of Riba and even worse than this; meaning worse than Riba itself.

It is when someone wants to buy a car and he/she doesn't have the required cash, thus, this person will do the following which is done by most of the religious people rather than the non-religious ones thinking that this is a 100% "Halal" type of deal. 

This person will go to an "Islamic" Car's Showroom which is owned by an Islamic Bank, and choose a car from this exhibition if the desired brand is available and if it is not, he/she will be asked to go to the "Main" Car Showroom and then choose among the cars the required and the desired brand, color, etc...Then this bank's Exhibition will buy this car to this person and bring it to its showroom.

Here is one key reason for considering this deal as Riba or "Haram" kind of deal since the bank really didn't buy this car and it is only a "FALSE" contract, if I may say, between the bank and the showroom or the exhibition.

Another key reason is, and please pay me your full attention, is that even if this person found the desired car in the same showroom still it is considered Riba, EXCUSE ME!!!  WHY IS THAT?!!!  I'll tell you dear friends and dear brothers and sisters.  This deal is considered Riba since the bank really DID NOT buy the exhibited cars but only exhibit them.  SORRY, FROM WHERE DID YOU BRING THIS INFORMATION?!!!  I've got this information from a guy working in the showroom, I asked him:  Do You Really OWN these cars?  He said:  No, We Don't!!!  And here, I'll tell you the truth, I was really shocked to know this fact since I bought about three or four cars, if not more, using this kind of deal.

(ربنا لا تؤاخذنا إن نسينا أو أخطأنا)

Meaning:  Oh Allah, forgive us if we commit sins by mistake or by forgetting -since it's not being done intentionally-.

As it is mentioned in the Holy Qur'an and as our Prophet -peace and blessings of Allah be upon him- said:

"رفع عن أمتي الخطأ والنسيان "

Meaning:  Allah the Great will not blame people or punish them if they commit sins by mistake or  by forgetting.
