A Strike in Kerala !!!!!!

Al Salam Alaikom wa Rahmat Allah wa Barakatoh

Today I was unable to see the doctors that I was supposed to see because of the workers' "Srike" here in Kerala due to the dramatic increase in the petrol price.

Hence, I'll have an obligatory break from the hospital work, at least this day, since the hospital is about 20 kilometers from my hotel, and all the cars are not being used due to the strike.  And since I am a muslim I think that this is a suitable chance to tell you about the Islamic viewpoint regarding strikes in general.

I'm not bringing any "Fatwa" from my own pocket", but from many trustful "Fatwa Books".  I'll tell you some of the bad effects of Strikes and you can judge by your own or by common sence whether they are allowed or not in Islam.!! Here are some of the severly negative effects which are accompanied with strikes:  Burning of different places and stuffs, breakage of windows, doors, or whatever, fighting each others, fighting  the government, writing insulting or silly postrers, etc.  And above all else the huge loss that they cost the country due to the refusal of their jobs or work for 24 hours or more, and many other effects that I would like you all to share with me and give me your invaluable comments on.

So, please don't just read but comment on this topic, since this kind of useful discussion is a way of inhancing and developing your English skills, and as a result this is one way of using blogs in English Teaching!!!

  1. Well, um khallad , i agree with you that all these strikes are not acceptable in our religion. But dont you see why is that?

I think what is happening over there make us pray more to allah and thank him for this grace which is being Muslims.

In india they have Many many religions that they dont even know what to believe in! they worship animals, Buddha's, and holy religions which are (Islam, Judaism, and Christianity) and these deeds only comes from one type of people, the ignorant. They are Lost .. when a human loses his belief or connection with his creator he really gets lost.

    I feel pity for them.

  2. Hello Bishara, my daughter don't feel pity for them, you know why!!! because Allah is the Greatest and he best knows who deserves being a muslim and who does not deserve, hence be sure that Allah is Fair and never will write a fate on someone unless he/she really deserves it
